FAU Mu Alpha Theta Math Competition Draws 1,200 Students to FAU Davie Campus

Over 1,200 high school students representing over 43 high schools from Broward, Miami, and Palm Beach competed in the annual Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Regional competition at the FAU Davie campus on Saturday, March 7, 2015. That Saturday morning, South Florida’s best "math athletes’ – or mathletes -- faced-off in teams and as individuals to be the first to solve algebra, pre-calculus, statistics, geometry and calculus problems and emerge as the top champions by that afternoon.

The installation of This Is A Canvas, a first phase of a street art exhibition created in partnership with Florida Atlantic University and Broward College, started going up on Monday afternoon, March 2, 2015 and will continue through Friday afternoon, March 13, 2015 on the large, 90 foot wide blank exterior west wall of the FAU/Broward College Higher Education Complex located on SE First Avenue and Las Olas Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale.


The School of Architecture’s Hammock Veil installation to open at FAU MetroLAB

Hammock Veil , a FAU School of Architecture installation inspired by the interaction between the water and the hardwood hammock in the Everglades, will be on exhibition March 9 to 16, 2015 at the FAU Fort Lauderdale MetroLAB in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
