FAU’s Department of Visual Arts and Art History to Host Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition

The Department of Visual Arts and Art History in Florida Atlantic University’s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters will present the 2016 Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition, “[    ] (Space),” from Friday, April 15 through Friday, May 6 in the Ritter Gallery, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. The opening reception will be on Thursday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m.  Both the exhibition and opening are free and open to the general public.

 The show will feature a diverse array of works, both two- and three-dimensional, from 17 graduating artists receiving their Bachelors of Fine Arts degrees in graphic design and studio arts. All exhibiting artists will be present at the opening reception to answer questions and discuss their works.

Programs such as these presented by the University Galleries are made possible in  part by The State of Florida Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs, Florida Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts; Palm Beach County Cultural Council; R.A. Ritter Foundation; student activity fees provided by the FAU Student Government; and individual friends of the University Galleries.

The Galleries’ hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 4pm; Saturdays, 1 to 5pm; and closed on Sundays and Mondays. Alternative hours are available for adult groups, public school field trips, and university classes by appointment only. Appointments also can be booked for guided group tours.
