FAU Theatre Lab Presents 'Most Wanted', a Play by Peter Sagal

Theatre Lab, the professional resident company of Florida Atlantic University, will present "Most Wanted," a world premiere from Peter Sagal, playwright and host of NPR's "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me." The play will run from Thursday, Nov. 30 through Sunday, Dec. 17 in the Heckscher Stage theater space in Parliament Hall, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. Tickets are $35, with the exception of Thursday, Nov. 30 tickets which are $25. To purchase tickets, visit www.fauevents.com or call 561-297-6124.

"Most Wanted" tells the story of Frank and Doris who are retired, comfortable and desperate. One day, they snatch their darling baby granddaughter and make a run for Florida, land of eternal sunshine and eternal rest, where they meet a variety of characters living on the fuzzy border between life and la-la-land, all of whom look just like the people they left behind. Cornered by an affable detective, they make one last run to U.S. President Truman's Little White House in Key West, at the very end of the road. There, their daughter, Isabel, an avenging angel in expensive clothes, corners and confronts them with every mistake they've ever made. This comedy about parents, children, and the fate that awaits us all, won a MacArthur Fellowship from the O'Neill Theater Center.

Peter Sagal is the author of many plays, including "Denial," "What to Say," "Kim's Sister," and "Mall America." His plays have been produced around the country and abroad, and he's received commissions, awards and grants from The Playwrights' Center of Minneapolis, Seattle Rep, The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, and the Jerome, Camargo, and McKnight Foundations. He is the author of "The Book of Vice: Naughty Things and How To Do Them" from Harper Collins and an upcoming memoir for Simon and Schuster. As a screenwriter, he wrote, but is not responsible for, "Dirty Dancing II: Havana Nights." In his spare time, he is the host of NPR's "Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me!" the most listened-to show in public radio.
