Master of Fine Arts candidates in Florida Atlantic University's Department of Visual Arts and Art History are collaborating with the Cornell Art Museum to present "Lucent,"  an exhibition of art exploring the myriad aspects of light and translucency. The exhibition will open on Friday, April 1 at 6 p.m. at the Cornell Art Museum on the Old School Square campus, 51 North Swinton Ave., in Delray Beach. The exhibition will remain up through Tuesday, May 31, and both the opening and exhibition are free and open to the public.   The opening will be part of First Friday Art Walk, an open house hosted by participating galleries in downtown Delray Beach.

Works in the exhibition include paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, mixed media and textiles which explore the profound, the political, the contemporary and the beautiful implications of the word lucent. For more information, call 561-243-7922 or visit OldSchoolSquare.org.
