FAU's choral groups will once again present the Madrigal Dinner on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 5:30 p.m. XXX at the Vintage Gymnasium in the Delray Beach Center for the Arts at Old School Square in Delray Beach. Now in its fifth year, the FAU Madrigal Dinner brings the courtly tradition of pageantry, entertainment, a savory feast and extraordinary music to life. FAU students delight and entertain, and guests are invited to join the fun and dress in period costumes if they choose. Single tickets are $100 (which includes a $55 tax-deductible gift) and tables of eight are $1,000 (including a $640 tax-deductible gift). Tickets can be purchased by calling 561-297-2337 or visiting https://fauf.fau.edu/madrigal. Proceeds for the event, which is generously underwritten by Madelyn Savarick, will benefit FAU's Choral and Vocal Studies Program.
FAU also will once again present Tuba Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 5 p.m. in the Mizner Park Amphitheater. This tradition of holiday music performed by tubas and euphoniums, which was started by Indiana University professor Harvey G. Phillips, Ph.D., is presented to the South Florida community by FAU's Sean Murray. This is an outdoor, free event and audience members are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets.
