FAU’s Department of Music Presents “An Ellington Nutcracker”

BOCA RATON, Fla. (November 20, 2017) – Florida Atlantic University’s Department of Music in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters will present an “Ellington Nutcracker” with the Florida Wind Symphony Jazz Orchestra on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. in the University Theatre on the FAU Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road. A holiday concert tradition, the orchestra will perform the complete “Nutcracker Suite” as arranged for jazz ensemble by the incomparable Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, along with other holiday favorites.
