Creative Writing Workshop

Our Community Creative Writing Workshops run in the fall and spring semesters and are offered in multiple genres: fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction/memoir. They are taught by graduate teaching assistants earning a terminal degree in our MFA Program in Creative Writing, a competitive position offered to our most-qualified graduate students. Our fall workshops run for 8 weeks, typically early September to late October. Our spring workshops also run for 8 weeks, typically early February to late March/early April. The cost for enrollment is $250. FAU students, employees, alumni, and military service members and veterans receive a discounted price of $180. Returning workshop participants receive a $25 discount. All workshops are held once a week for two hours on weekday evenings on FAU's Boca Raton campus.
