Heather Coltman, DMA, dean of Florida Atlantic University’s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, recently welcomed “IM Health Science” as the College’s founding corporate member of its Ambassador of the Arts program. The program was launched in 2014 by the College of Arts and Letters Advisory Board as a way to expand educational and artistic excellence within FAU’s School of the Arts through private gifts.
“The program has allowed us to become more personally engaged with our Ambassadors through select events established especially for them,” said Coltman.
Ambassadors are also encouraged to promote FAU’s School of the Arts by inviting others to attend a music, theater or dance performance, visit one of two visual arts exhibitions on campus, or learn more about arts’ programming being presented annually to public audiences.
“FAU has so many incredible programs in the arts,” said Bernice Kaminski, member of the College of Arts and Letters Advisory Board. “I became an Ambassador to help these talented young students, and then I reached out to Fred and Noreen Hassan to encourage ‘IM Health Science’ to become our first corporate Ambassador of the Arts. I was delighted when they immediately agreed.”
