Carl J. Spagnuolo, an Attorney/Partner at McHale I Slavin in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, specializes Copyright, Entertainment and Trademark Law.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Spagnuolo was a career musician. He earned a music degree (piano major) from West Chester University outside of Philadelphia. His 15 year full-time professional music career spanned playing solo piano to session work to large venue band performances.  The last 8 years of his career he served as the House Pianist and Assistant Director of Music and Entertainment at the world famous Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach.  Before that, during the 1980’s Carl played keyboards for many famous 1960’s rock acts including Jay & The Techniques, Bo Diddley, and Dennis Yost of The Classics Four. He also played keyboards for Clarence Clemons (saxophonist for Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street Band) for a charity relief concert in Marathon Key. While attending the University of Miami Graduate Course “MMI” under Dr. Al Reed, Carl was inspired to parlay his earned knowledge in the music business into the field of entertainment law and intellectual property.

Carl’s current and former entertainment clients include Fran and Anthony Cosmo (formerly of the band “Boston”); Rock & Roll Hall of Fame® inductees; Jerry Martin of “Sly & The Family Stone”; the late Bo Diddley; The Estate of the late Burt Reynolds; Otis Williams, founder of The Temptations; and television shows “Counts Kustoms/Counting Cars” and “Graveyard Carz.”  He has also provided legal counsel to Tony Stevens of “Foghat,”  Bob Rosenberg of “Will To Power,” and the Christian artist “Rawsrvnt”.

In Trademark Law, at present Mr. Spagnuolo is listed as “attorney-of-record” on over 2,700 trademark files at the United States Trademark Office and also serves as domestic attorney-of-record on several thousand international registrations in over 86 countries throughout the world.  Mr. Spagnuolo manages a trademark portfolio including high profile trademark accounts including: Suncast® patio and backyard products; Donzi and Hydra-Sport yacht companies; Rain Dance® and Rally® automotive products; Shoes for Crews® slip-resistant footwear; Steeda® aftermarket high-performance Ford automotive tuner.
