"CORPORAL" presented a group of artists who employ the body, either human or animal, as a departing point in their work. Through traditional representation and conceptual presentations of human and animal metaphors, the artists explore life, death, art and social/political issues. Reflecting geographic, cultural and aesthetic diversity, their views are expressed in ways that move from the erotic to the ascetic, from the poetic to the humorous. The works in "CORPORAL" represented a wide range of artistic practice in contemporary art. The exhibition included several mixed media works as well as painting, photography, video, sculpture and installation.
