Christiane Reese earned her MA in French Literature from the Université de Provence, and received a lectureship in French language and culture at FAU in 1990. She is an honorary member of the Kappa Rho chapter of Pi Delta Phi, the national French honor society, and in 2003 received a plaque recognizing the work she has done to promote French language and culture on FAU's campus. She is also an honorary member of the Golden Key International Honor Society.
Christiane Reese is closely involved with the development of French language curricula. Many of her former undergraduate students have gone on to join graduate programs in French, Comparative Literature, Linguistics, or Translation Studies. As a testament to her teaching skills, she received the 1996-1997 "TIP" award for her dedication to undergraduate instruction.
