| Florida Residency: The term residency refers to whether you are an in-state Florida resident or an out-of-state resident. This classification determines your tuition cost. Florida residents pay a lower tuition price per credit hour than do non-Florida residents. The Florida state statute that defines Florida residency for tuition purposes is 1009.21. As a new undergraduate student, your residency will be classified through the Office of Admissions. Your residency is initially reviewed when you submit an application to the university. Failing to provide all necessary information in the residency section of the application may result in a non-Florida/out-of-state status for tuition purposes. Tuition & Fees (Undergraduate)
Florida Resident $116.23 per credit hour
Non Florida Resident $547.69 per credit hour
Tuition and other fees are due on or before the last day to pay (see the Academic Calendar). A student is not considered officially registered and may not attend classes until fees are paid or arrangements are made to pay fees. Learn more about the total estimated cost of education at FAU. All admitted freshmen only must confirm their intention to enroll and secure their place with the freshman class by submitting the required $200.00 admissions tuition deposit. Please note that the deposit will be applied to your tuition and other expenses for the term in which you have been admitted to FAU. |
