Assistant Director, Administrative Technology Systems, 1998 to July 2001

Administrative Technology Systems was an office under Financial Affairs. In addition to the ATS pages, over the course of time, the Assistant Director maintained and/or created pages for Financial Affairs, Sponsored Research, the Small Business Development Center, the College of Nursing, the University Center, University Advancement, the General FAU Web Index, the Faculty and Staff Index, the Office of the Inspector General, Housing, Student Development and Activities, Business Services and sites for various professors. Operations Management and Operation Analysis, 1990 to 1998

Originally this position, Director of Operations Analysis was in Administration and Finance. In September, 1996 as a result of the University's reorganization, the office and the Director moved under the Division of Student Affairs as Operations Management.

Initially the position was involved with special projects, financial analysis and financial reports. The Director was responsible for coordination of audit responses and informal audit follow up. Examples of special projects were implementing and maintaining the automated authorized signature retrieval system, NACUBO Benchmarking Study and the creation of Paradox database applications for various University departments.

Eventually the responsibilities became more World Wide Web related. The Director coordinated the effort of putting Administration & Finance, now Financial Affairs, on the Web and created and maintained approximately 200 Web pages for the Division of Student Affairs.

Grants Contracts Accounting, Controller's Office 1986 to 1990.

Prepared financial statements, journal entries, financial reports, invoicing and spreadsheets. Monitored the flow of funds on research grants. Developed fund budget and reviewed individual account budgets. Monitored budgeted expenditures against actual costs and performed reconciliations. Supervised student account receivables.
