Florida Atlantic University was selected to receive funding under the U.S. Department of Education's Title III: Strengthening Institutions Program effective October 1, 2010.  FAU created a program, known as AcCESS (Academic and Career Enhancement for Second-Year Students) to improve student success and retention in the second year, targeted at students most at risk of attrition.
