Were you admitted as a general summer admission?
Yes
Were you admitted through the Gateway program?
Yes
Please keep in mind: To remain eligible for the FLC, students taking summer courses should not register for any courses that would be part of their fall FLC schedule. On the Learning Community Web site, we have given examples of each FLCs typical schedule (http://wise.fau.edu/LearningCommunity/2008FLC/2008FLCs.php). Please contact Carole Pfeffer in the Center for Learning And Student Success, if you have any questions (cpfeffer@fau.edu, 561.297.2243).
Students are required to take SLS 1503: Learning Strategies and Human Development as part of the Gateway Curriculum. Students entering FAU through the Gateway program that join an LLC must retake SLS 1503 as part of the FLC Curriculum. The Gateway section of SLS 1503 is a general overview of the University. The Fall FLC section of SLS 1503 includes a general overview of the University and material that is specific to the FLC (i.e. Nursing FLC students will cover how to study as a Nursing student, Engineering FLC students will cover information on Co-Ops and Internships, etc). By retaking this course, students will still only receive credit for taking SLS 1503 once, and you will have to pay for the one credit in both programs. Please contact Carole Pfeffer in the Center for Learning And Student Success if you have any questions (cpfeffer@fau.edu, 561.297.2243).
Do you agree to retake SLS1503: Learning Strategies Course? Please keep in mind, applications who do not agree to retake the course will be ineligible for FLC admittance.

Unfortunately at this time you are not eligible to participate in the Living-Learning Community Program at FAU. The SLS 1503:Learning Strategies Course is a significant portion of the FLC program and the Gateway Program. Please contact Carole Pfeffer in the Center for Learning And Student Success if you have any questions (cpfeffer@fau.edu, 561.297.2243).
