What are the benefits of joining the University Scholars LLC?
• Succeed! Because of the small class size, individual attention and large amount of student/faculty interaction and feedback, we find that students typically do better in their Honors seminars than in their regular freshmen classes. Frequently students note that the grades in their Honors seminars have helped their overall GPA.
• Make a Difference! Participate in various FAU Community Service projects (at least 20 hours during the freshman year)
• Get the VIP Treatment! Also, students in the Program get special advising and have first day priority in class registration.
• Be Competitive! Being in the University Scholars Program is a definite plus when applying to graduate or professional schools. Students receive an Honors Certificate at the Honors Awards Ceremony held in the fall semester of the junior year. A notation of "honors" will be made on their final transcript.
• Achieve Your Goals! When you complete the Program , you are awarded a certificates of completion by the President in a special ceremony in which your parents and friends can attend. In addition, your name will be added on the plaque containing all the names of students who have completed the Program. Students then go on to continue their undergraduate program in the department in which they are majoring.
