We all know that retention is a university-wide effort and that there is no "silver bullet" that can solve all attrition problems. The one key is having exceptional faculty and staff - which Florida Atlantic University certainly has. Every now and then a faculty or staff member goes "above and beyond" to help a student and that can make all the difference in keeping a student in school.
To thank and honor these outstanding individuals who go the extra mile and work with students to ensure their success, the Office for Student Retention has developed the "SAVE A STUDENT" Award.
If you know of a faculty or staff member who has gone "above and beyond" to help a particular student, please send a letter of nomination that describes the situation to the CLASS Office. Recipients of the "Save a Student" award get a framed certificate and a letter of appreciation.
Letters of nomination should be sent to:
Center for Learning And Student Success
