Parents As Partners

Parents as Partners retention initiative to help your student “STAY@fau”

  • Do you want to stay involved as a partner in your student’s success?
  • Do you want to receive tips on what your student may be going through in college and how to deal with those transitions and issues?
  • Do you want to be made aware of important dates to help remind your student?
  • Do you want to keep a connection with FAU and find out what exciting things are happening?
  • Do you want advice on how to handle common first-year problems and concerns?

If you answered YES to any of these, sign up for the “Parents as Partners” program to help your student “stay@FAU”

In an effort to help you take an active role in your student’s college success, we are offering this great program to parents of FAU students. “Parents as Partners” is a cooperative program between the CLASS Office (division of Undergraduate Studies) and the New Student and Owl Family Programs office (Division of Student Affairs) to keep you involved during your student’s FAU experience. We want to work with you to provide your student with the tools needed to be a success!

By providing your e-mail address when your student signs up for orientation, you will receive an update from our offices every 1-2 weeks during your student’s first year. These emails will contain important dates and information about things going on at FAU that you can share with your student. We will also provide answers to many of the questions you may have. This program will continue through the four years that your student is at FAU, with emails 1-2 times each semester.

To become a part of this program, have your son or daughter provide your email address on the orientation application or simply e-mail STAY@FAU.EDU and indicate that you would like to be added to the Parents As Partners List-serve. Remember, it’s never too late to join & start receiving important updates!
